I am a Trauma and Resilience Life Coach. I have been a student of CPTSD for almost 20 years. I have worked as a facilitator for numerous group resilience meetings. I teach self-care & regulation classes and coach private clients. Part of my life’s mission is to inspire others to empower themselves to make joyful change. I love seeing my clients gain confidence and skills to better tackle life’s challenges.
I am a devout Christian of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints faith, and I deeply rely on God in my personal life and to guide me as a coach. Christ is my example of pure love that I strive to have for every client!

My Aproach

Trish Sherwood, CTRLC

It is my priority to create a safe place to offer hope, healing, learning and progress.
Trauma-informed coaching is a way of understanding the presence of past trauma, its current effects on a client, and how to use the client’s resiliency to guide them along their path toward solution-focused growth.

Behavior such as raging, anxiety, depression and even addictions are not always intentional actions, but are often our body’s means to compensate for dysregulation. As a TRLC coach, I assist my clients to acquire self-care and regulation practices to take care of their body and mind and gain more control of actions and behaviors.

I approach coaching with the belief that every client is intelligent, skilled and able to progress forward. Unfortunately, many people with a history of complex trauma don’t recognize their own strengths, some of which they’ve developed as a result of surviving trauma. I delight in seeing my clients gain confidence and empowerment through the SAF-Net approach which helps clients uncover the capacities they have gained and learn how to use them to face current and future challenges.

I am also a proud affiliate of the Rezzimax Pain Tuner which uses vibration to release trauma and actually change the neuroplasticity of the brain. The ability of this protocol to break up and rewrite trauma neuropathways is something that therapists, counselors and coaches have only dreamed of, but is now a reality. The developer of this therapy, Sharik Peck, PT, has been experimenting with vibration to relieve pain and trauma for over 15 years with thousands of clients. I have been using this protocol on myself and with my clients for over a year and have been amazed by the results! A common client response is that the issue that caused so much emotional pain or fear before the treatment, now feels “indifferent”! Often a shift is felt after the very first 10-minute session! I am not a therapist. I am a Trauma and Resilience Life Coach. If at any time I see that you would be assisted better with the inclusion of another type of professional in your care, I will make that recommendation.
